Getting from Bilbao to St Jean

Hi all you have all been of great help. I have a another question.

I am stuck I am traveling from Bilbao to St Jean on Wed 12 mar I arrive at Bilbao at 16:35 any clues on how to get to St Jean. Last time I got a train but I am lost trying to find a train time table or any information that may help.
There are a lot more web pages but none very helpful.

Try searching here - http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/ingles.html - if you know some Spanish it will help. Looks like there is a train in the evening 22.25 arriving in Pamplona just after midnight - not great - or the next morning making it easy to get to st Jean in the same day with much less hassle. I think it is a bad idea to arrive in a city at that time - at a train station unless you know exactly where you are going.

Stay safe - the Camino is very safe - but Pamplona is like any other large city at night and at stations - I have traveled quite a bit in Spain and arrived at various places in the middle of the night and it has never been very comfortable for me.

The only other option I can think of to make life easier is one way car hire. I did this from Santiago to Pamplona three years ago and drove back down the Camino - strange experience - however it was not very expensive as there was four of us sharing the cost. Thanks a lot guys think that as I get in at 16:30 will look go to train station and see how close I can get if nice and close then I will get a taxi or if not get a early train next day.

We are doing same in May and will arrive by plane after 1pm.
Found the bus for Bairritz/Bayonne leaves at 1.30 so will miss it.
Staying night and then getting the bus at 7.30am arrives at Bayonne around 10.15
This will allow us to get the 33pm train to St. J

Please let us know Jaffa how you went in march.
