Default Have 22 days, start St Jean end Santiago... catch up transport suggestions welcomed??

Hello, I'm arriving in St Jean from Biarritz 2nd Oct, hopefully this is no mamouth task, and starting to walk to Santiago on the 3rd Oct. However I've only 22 days of walking so i'm going to have catch public transport in the afternoons a few times to make up time. I feel i need to start at St Jean and end at Santiago... any suggestions on where i should make up my time, i hate to miss anything but i'm only human and i know 22 days is not nearly enough. Hope my qestion makes sense. Thank you.

If I was you I would walk the whole 22 days from St Jean and finish about Leon and get the bus or train to Santiago - it is great to walk and get to know others along the way.

It also gives you something to come back for at some other time.

I am sure others will have different ideas.

    All the best.

    Hi Claire,
I agree with Leslie. Best to stay on the road and not skip ahead. If you do take transport I think you'll miss out on the camradarie and the chance to make new friends and possibly come home wondering what you missed on those parts. If you don't have enough time to reach Santiago this time then come back again and take up where you leave off. I know quite a few who have walked from St. Jean and much further afield to Santiago doing a fortnight every year.

    Anyway, whatever you choose
    Buen Camino.
