I'm interested to know if anyone else had any 'bizarre' or unidentifiable food whilst on the Camino....everyday was an adventure for me! I ordered my food and waited with baited breath to see what appeared!
Watch out for:
Mano de Cerdo (Hand of the pig) complete with nails!
Fish with eyeballs served seperately
Galician Stew....seemed to be vertebrae
The rest of the food was great....I tried for five weeks though to get a hamburger and only managed it in Santiago! I don't normally eat hamburgers...but they were on most menus but never available.
Given that Spaniards are basically carnivores and don't seem to understand the concept of vegetarianism i wonder how vegetarians fared?![]()
