advice for the best camino route

Hi,

I'm new here. I'm thinking to go for the Camino de Santiago but I only have a week.
Which route would you advice in such a short time?

Hi,

If you have not walked anywhere on any of the Caminos before I would suggest that you try a week on the Camino Frances first - Camino Frances - Camino Walks - The Main Route to Santiago. This route is currently the best supported - loads of hostels Camino Pilgrim Hostels - Camino Frances Albergues

The page above on the Camino Frances has a day by day guide for the first twenty or so days - I will finish it...

My favorite part is between Pamplona and Leon - but maybe the biggest consideration if you have a week is how easy is it to get to your start point and how easy then to get back to an airport afterwards. This is one of the reasons why so many walk the last 100 or so kms - that and they can get their compostela for the same.

But at the end of the day one week walking anywhere there I find great - though I would stay away from the last 100 during July and Aug 2010.
