    Smile Vezelay To St Jean

Hi everyone. If anyone reading has walked from Vezelay I'd be interested in hearing how you found it Re accommodation & 'stages' ... etc etc.

Have walked parts of some lesser known routes and am aware they can be tricky with waymarking not always being great, absence of accommodation & provisions not always easy to find. So if anyone has done the Vezelay route on foot would love to hear how you found it. Regards, Annie.

My wife and I started walking from Vezelay last August.Walked the southern rout to La Chatre. Did meet only 5 other people doing the Camino.( Dutch couple on bike, 1 German student and 2 men from France). Little car traffic. Not a rout for beginners in my mind. Soon to continue walking towards Le Puy. Use the "Inineraire du Pelerin de Saint-Jacques Voie Historique de Vezelay" as our quide. The rout is well marked. I recommend that you phone in advance for accommodation, as this is more difficult to get and not as as close to each other as in Spain.
Do not know about any other Scandinavians who has done this rout. Are we the first????
I walked from St.Jean to Santiago in 2007
