    Unhappy St Jacobs Way?

Can anyone tell me how to get clear information about the coastal route from Santander to Santiago? I want to join someone for 1 week from Asturias and cant seem to find any route or direction. On one book I have the coastal route is marked by blue dots, but there is absolutely no other information.

    Hi LR ~
Not sure exactly what info you're looking for, but there's a fair amount out there. The "coastal route" generally goes by the name of the "Camino del Norte," so perhaps you're looking under the wrong name. Few people call the Camino "St Jacobs Way" in English, so that could be a problem, too. English speakers generally say "Way of St James" or even more commonly use the Spanish version, "Camino de Santiago."

If you'd like a photo depiction of the Camino del Norte go here: The Camino del Norte
If you're looking for a detailed guide and/or map go here (though it's in Spanish it's still helpful for non-Spanish speakers): El Camino del Norte | Guía del Camino de Santiago | EROSKI CONSUMER
If you'd like to find an English language guide or get more info in English go to: Overview: The Coastal Route

    Hope this helps. Buen camino.
