2 gay chicks Camino journey
Hi! I had previously posted some info in the general chat area but then found this forum and am excited to see it exists. I felt that I was called to the Camino. Since learning of it a decade ago, I've felt pulled to the path. It has taken almost ten years for circumstances to align in such a way that brings this journey into my time and space. My partner and I are beginning our journey in SJPDP on July 1st. We are both deeply spiritual people who do not practice any religion because it's just not for us. We respect people who have used religion as a means of communing with God and to better themselves BUT, we acknowledge there are many pathways that lead one home and no path is greater than another. No one organization has a monopoly on God or all that is great, there are as many ways as there are stars.
Our family and friends have been asking us about the Camino, our preparations and are eager to hear about the journey itself. We have set up a blog where we are sharing our preparation stages, the readying of mind, body and spirit. It is meant to inspire, lighten and entertain with a particular focus on being gay, who we are and knowing that miracles await us along the road to Santiago. If you are from the GLBT community and making this pilgrimage we salute you and wish you well.
The blog will be updated weekly for the next 12 weeks. We hope you stop by, sit a spell, read, dream and share your thoughts. Buen Camino!
