Re: Travelling by train from Barcelona to St Jean Pied de Port
Hi Flávia, and welcome to the Forum ~
Train travel isn't that easy from Barcelona to St. Jean, but it is possible. Because the Renfe (Spanish train system) site doesn't really do connections very well, you'll likely need to buy several tickets for this trip, plus you'll need to ticket yourself onto the French system through the SNCF : Voyage, Transports et Logistique site. Your itinerary will look like this:
- Barcelona to Zaragoza
- Zaragoza to Pamplona
- Pamplona to Hendaye, transfer to French train
- Hendaye to Bayonne
- Bayonne to St Jean Pied de Port
Your other option would be to take the train only as far as Pamplona, then take a van, like Express Bourricot, to St. Jean. That'd save you a bunch of time and perhaps still cost about the same, particularly if you can find other riders to share the cost.
Buen camino!

Hi, What do you think about traveling from Barcelona to Perpignan to Toulouse to St. Jean?

Re: Travelling by train from Barcelona to St Jean Pied de Port
Hi Paula ~
I think I answered your question on another thread -- I suggest the Barcelona to Pamplona train, then the bus or van to SJPP from Pamplona. I think the Toulouse connection is rather complicated and out-of-the-way.
Buen camino!
