Default travelling from Canada to St Jean

How best to go from Toronto, Canada? Do I travel to Madrid and bus to St Jean? or to Paris? I heard from someone I could travel to London, England and the a plane to an airport near St Jean. I am planning to walk in October November 2008. Any suggestions?

Cool travelling from Canada to St Jean

You can fly to Paris CDG with Zoom, or try Canadian Affair website.
Alteratively fly to London Gatwick or Heathrow, plenty of budget flights and then pick up a Ryan Air flight from London Stansted to Biaritz.Earlier you book the cheaper it is. About 50 euros single at the moment in October. Toronto Paris is about 400 C Dollars single.London a bit cheaper.

    Hey,
Just some additional websites etc you may find useful!
Air canada has many many options for flying direct to Paris or London, generally the best value for money as there are no layovers!
From Paris you could train down to Bayonne in about 4 hours, from Bayonne a train leaves for St Jean in the morning and the evening, I believe both trains are on www.sncf.com, and www.raileurope.com also has train tickets for France.
If you prefer flying over the train, I believe the nearest airport is Biarritz, where you would have to change trains in Bayonne before proceeding onto St. Jean.
If you do choose to fly, not only ryanair.com but also easyjet.com often have great deals.
I know the amount of choices is daunting, but I suggest writing each option down from the start and seeing what ends up working best for your own needs and preferences and budget!
    Buen Camino!
