    Default Madrid to Pamplona

I will be flying into Madrid on February 23. I looked up train fares to Pamplona, and it was over $80. I was not able to find bus fares online. Does anyone know if it is much cheaper?

I'm also wondering if it makes more sense to fly into Pamplona rather than Madrid. It would only be $100 more for me to fly into Pamplona (from Baltimore), but the problem is getting back to Pamplona after I arrive in Santiago. I don't think I'll have time to take a bus back, and flights from Santiago to Pamplona are over $300.

Finally, what is the most affordable way to get from Santiago to Madrid?

Smile Bus journey from Madrid to Pamplona

    Hola Murphy,
Travelled this route 3 years ago.....ALSA are the bus travel company that you need to get in touch with......the journey takes about 5 hours and you could expect to pay approx. €25 for a one way journey.... their web address for the exact info you need is:

    http://www.alsa.es/portal/site/Alsa

    Buen camino,

From the Madrid Airport, how do you get to the bus station in order to get a bus to Pamplona?

    Hola Murphy,
You have 3 options for getting into Madrid from Madrid Barajas Airport - taxi, metro or bus. The cheapest and best option I would suggest is by bus. Journey time is about 30 minutes depending on traffic. I am not sure what terminal you are arriving into but here are the details:
    • Bus line 200 stops at Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and links the airport with the Avenida de Am?rica. The bus stops are located at Arrivals/Departures.
    • Bus line 204 stops at the Terminal 4 'Arrivals' floor and also links the airport with the Avenida de Am?rica.
If your onward journey to Pamplona is by bus (ALSA), Avenida de Am?rica is where you need to be at. Hope this helps a little

    Buen camino
