Bus to Santiago Airport and Lugo

In 2008 there was some confusion regarding the airport bus service from Santiago.

The bus company running the service is Emperesa Friere and the airport service is their service from Santiago to Lugo, which goes via the airport.

However at peak times they were running TWO coaches leaving Santiago bus station at the same time and both going to Lugo, EXCEPT only one of the coaches stopped at the airport and the other went direct to Lugo.

If you get on the wrong one you can wave at your plane as you travel past the airport on your way to Lugo!!!

Those going from Santiago Airport to Sarria to do the 100km Camino walk back to Santiago, can catch the Emperesa Friere coach to Lugo from the front of the terminal, and then catch a bus from Lugo to Sarria which goes from the same bus station as the Santiago coach finishes at.

thanks for all the information here - my dad is coming out to meet me in sarria and this is the way he'll be going; where can i get the timetable and is there somewhere i can buy the tickets in advance for him. he is arriving saturday afternoon at 16.20 and hopes to get to sarria that night.

Empresa Freire S.L.
is the website for the company that runs from Santiago to Lugo.There is a stop just outside the airport terminal.You can buy tickets from the driver.Make sure you are at the stop for Lugo and not the one for Santiago.They are close together.
Once in Lugo bus station change to Monbus for the trip to Sarria.

If you are in Santiago the bus for Lugo departs from the Bus Station and you buy tickets at the company desk there.
