Any direct flights from Santiago to Ireland ?

Hi all

New to the forum. Planning on doing the Camino Frances at the end of Sept.
Just wondering are there any direct flights to Ireland from Santiago, as im doing it cycling and dont fancy putting the bike on lots of planes .
Or what would be the nearest airport to Santiago that has direct flights to Ireland.

Hi Brendan

Ryanair used to fly Santiago - Dublin direct, but they seem to have stopped. Aer Lingus still do, although it's expensive. The next closest would be Madrid (Ryanair + Aer Lingus), Santander (Ryanair) or Bilbao (Aer Lingus).

Normally you can take bikes on trains in Spain but you'll probably have to take the wheels off to save space. Best to ask when buying ticket.

Where are you planning on starting?

I do intend to fly into Biarritz.Starting from St Jean, its getting back to Ireland afterwards that im wondering about ?
