Camino in February/March

I'm considering walking the Via de la Plata at the end of February and am looking for advice from anyone who has walked at that time of year, or knows anything about the trail. What will the weather be like? Are there any essentials I should pack? Is that a good time to talk, or should I wait? I'll be living in Spain until the end of June, so I could wait if a later time would be better. Any advice is appreciated!

I am new to this but I believe the silver route starts from southern spain and passes solamanca region (excuse spellings) I was in La Alberca last week and it was snowing and cold. I plan to start the Frances route in May when it is a little warmer. Good Luck x
