Hello all,

I am a first timer attempting to make the long journey from Le Puy to Santiago beginning on 1/26/11.

I am well equipped, young, fit, and motivated, but I would love some input from those wiser and more experienced pilgrims that have come before me.

I seek as much info as possible with regards to camping (can i set up my tactical one-man off trail, or will that ruffle feathers?), weather (what type can I expect?), traffic (I am planning on spending most of my time alone, but would love the chance to meet fellow pilgrims. Will anyone be walking this time of year?), gear (I have layers and layers, but, if there are wiser pilgrims that know of "must haves" I would love to know).
