Default Weather June & July 08

We are preparing to walk the camino beginning June 08. We looking at light weight sleeping bags and we're wondering about the avergae temperatures at that time of year. We are trying to choose between some sleeping bags that are like "heavy sheets" vs. traditional bags with lower temperature ratings. I would love your thoughts on this topic. Thanks for a great web site and the equally wonderful postings by all.
    Peace,
    Michael

July is hot, very. One of the problems with what bag to take is personal preference. I used my bag, (which is quite thick) as a sheet as it was too hot in July usually to sleep inside it - however my girlfriend found it quite fine to sleep inside her bag...

Also some areas can get cold even in mid summer. This surprised me the first time I went on he Camino. I would be walking not long after sunrise in the mountains and needed a jumper and my waterproof to keep me warm some mornings, but by 9.30 or 10 it would heat up a lot.

    Hi Leslie
I am planning the Camino in May. This is the first time and I am walking alone. Any advice about the weather, accomodation etc would be very welcome.
I live in Southern France on the Mediterrean side of the Pyrenees and have decided to start in Spain not walking over the pyrenees.
    I have 4 weeks .
Thanks for this forum. It makes my journey much more real and hopefully I will meet some members along the way
    Love and Light
    Mena
