Default Holding Baggage While on Camino

Now pre-planning for section walk of Camino Francais in May of 2012:

    1) Traveling to Barcelona from USA via cruise ship.
    2) Get to Madrid/Roncesvalles.
    3) Have cruise clothes baggage held while on Camino.
    4) Start walk beginning of May.
    4) After finishing up in Burgos end of May, reclaim cruise clothes baggage.
    5) Fly from Madrid to Moscow.
    6) go on Moscow-St. Petersburg river cruise.

As you can see, we need 'cruise clothes' for the cruises on each side of the Camino walk.

Question: Any suggestions for how best to have our cruise clothes baggage held for us while on the Camino? A friendly hotel in Madrid? Some sort of storage facility?

    Comments, suggestions, and flames welcome.

    Hi OHWs ~
What if you sent your clothes ahead from Barcelona to Burgos? The folks at the Meson el Cid have been very friendly to me over the years. Meson el Cid is a mid-sized hotel across the west plaza from the Burgos cathedral. Perhaps you could convince them to hold your cruise clothes for you during your journeys, then pick them up when you arrive in Burgos. The only reason I'd suggest Burgos is that they may be more friendly about this sort of thing than folks in a big city like Madrid. That's where I'd start.

There's a new baggage store service in Santiago. Information from their website at Luggage Storage « pilgrimhelper

They charge for the service, but I don't know how much.

This service replaces The Camino Travel Service which closed last year.

    Buen Camino!
