Thanks and have a Great Year on the Camino

Prague 2007

So I have just come back from my short holiday in Prague. I spent the week in bed. Anna says leave it at that – no further explanation, but I spent the week in bed sick, so I only got one day around the city taking some photos. Anna was back visiting family and instead of staying here in Dublin on my own I decided to follow her for the second week. We lived in Prague shortly after we first met on the Camino, after I gave up on commuting from Vienna to Prague each week – it is not that far but in the winter when it is -10 or so the driving gets fairly dangerous in my head as I live normally in a land of no ice or snow.

Anyway main point of this post today is once again that all who have visited the site during 2007 – the main site had 90,651 visitors with 371,022 page views – I am bloody delighted. I had never built a web site before, deciding one February morning nearly two years ago that I should know how to build a web site – cool – I am really happy with the results so far. This blog has also had about 8,000 visitors – a guess required here as I lost the stats for part of the year.

My plans for the site for the next year include – adding a forum, I get too many questions by mail and don’t have the time to answer, so I hope this might help, writing an ebook – this will be something simple that people can download, print and read at their leisure (and yes it will cost – but not much), and finally updating some of the information on the site and a little restructuring as I have learned a little more since first building this back in 2006 – oh and the photos, one of the things that I have been putting off as it is so time consuming, but friends have complained and tell me that is one of the main parts they want to see, so okay.

The above photo is from my one day out in Prague – part of a memorial to the many of died during the second world war.
