More questions in my inbox that I don’t know the answer to – can anyone help? Thanks.
We are planning to walk the Meseta in November, the part of the Camino we have not walked in the past…saving it for our old(er) age! A couple of questions, please:
1/ What is the weather likely to be in November? We first walked the Camino from Astorga to Santiago in June some years ago, and it was 50 degrees and rained 15 of the 17 days we were on the road, so I know anything’s possible.
2/ Are refugios and hotels open?
3/ We presume the heavy number of walkers will be much less (hopefully). I cannot believe how the numbers have increased since we walked 10 years ago.
4/ Are grocery stores open for daily supplies?
We had planned our trip for late April/May but had an auto accident.
Thank you.
Hi James,
Thanks so much for creating this resource. I heard about the camino a couple years ago in college. I have some time before I go back to school and was thinking about doing the pilgrimage. If you received any answers about walking it in the winter, I would really appreciate if you would forward them to me. I am thinking about starting it mid-January…thoughts?
Hi,
I did not get any more info. I plan on starting a forum some time this month so maybe that might help.
